Testimonials

“ I have Christina to thank for helping me with stabilization and strength over the past 5 years. I have issues with joint hyper-mobility, my hips and pelvic floor, and a very sensitive neck. Her expertise, openness to feedback, and explanation of the body mechanics is exactly what I needed. It's so nice that she now offers virtual classes, so I don't have to lose the progress we've made, or leave my house!”

“I have Scoliosis, a curvature of the spine, osteoporosis and had recently broken my wrist, ankle and foot and I wanted to strengthen my body again, build bone and reduce my body pain.  By working with Christina in her virtual pilates classes, I have achieved all of those goals.  I am stronger, flexible and have much less pain. Christina's expertise in pilates and her ability to customize positions and props for my unique needs is a perfect combination and I now make her classes a priority in my life.”- Judy Burrell (Client, 2 years)

I was new to Pilates. I had no sense of how to systematically strengthen my core or program for regular stretching. I did think of myself as reasonably athletic and generally active, but I had spent years in a sedentary profession.  I had been told that I would benefit from a regular program of both core and stretching exercise, and that Pilates was likely to be a good fit.  I met  Christina at her studio and signed up for a short series of solo sessions.  That was well more than 4 years ago.  Christina’s solo sessions provided a friendly and professional platform for my learning.  It also gave me a structure within which I could schedule the time I needed  to achieve a stabilized understanding of what and how to progress.  The compassionate atmosphere combined with individual challenge and expert support that Christina provided enabled me to progress rapidly.  Today, I continue to look forward to each session and the empowered and relaxed feeling at its end.-  Ray Thompson (Client, 8 years)

“I have been a client of Christina’s both in her studio and now on Zoom for about 10 years.  After having both knees replaced and 3 back surgeries, I worked with Christina for her sage guidance using the Pilates method for physical therapy, rehabilitation and now maintenance.  Her current Zoom sessions are specific to areas of the body such as pelvic floor, positional stability , core strengthening, breathing, back alignment and more.  During the pandemic, her use of the Zoom format has provided wonderful home sessions using various tools such as yoga mats, chairs, elastic bands, yoga blocks and rollers in place of traditional reformers.  Christina is an excellent, caring coach/instructor who has been a Godsend for me and I highly recommend her.

“I am a firm believer that Christina’s Pilates classes, in person and now via Zoom, have been the key to my stabilizing my osteoporosis. She is an exceptional instructor who understands and responds to the individual needs of her clients. I was introduced to Pilates and Christina 8 years ago due to my osteoporosis and as a fall prevention tool. What I continue to benefit from this many years later is core, arm and leg strength and an overall better knowledge of my body.” -Selinda Shontz (Client, 8 years)

This is the best on line Zoom class I have ever taken in my life. Since I started the class five months ago, I can dramatically feel the difference in my body. As a result, my body is stronger, toner, and more flexible. Thanks to Christina 's exercise program, the hip pain I use to contend with daily has stopped completely. -Gabriele A. (Client, 5 months)

Christina is one of the best pilates/yoga teachers I’ve had the privilege to work with. Her in-person classes are very small so she can observe and give feedback to each participant. Christina’s Zoom classes are also fantastic. They are well focused and I always feel like I get a good workout. Class participants cross the spectrum in terms of their physical capabilities and limitations, yet Christina is able to give all of us appropriate instruction.  Christina solicits questions from students and will respond outside of the designated class time. She also actively seeks feedback from students and makes adjustments based on that. Love having such a responsive teacher!-Jody A.

Even with my resistance to exercise attitude, Christina has patiently taught me how and why to continue Pilates. It’s been at least 10 years now and her consistent instructions and keen eye to spot restrictions in the body have helped me to realign and repurpose unused muscles, while learning to reduce the load of those that were eventually going to create pain in an aging body. Her new offering of online classes has been priceless during this time of sheltering in. Christina’s scope of knowledge allows her to create themed classes in which she explains each exercise with variations in positioning, strength levels and cautions to not overload certain muscle groups. This petite kind woman is a powerhouse Pilates instructor!
